Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment?

We accept walk-ins for tattoos and piercings. Tattoos are first come first serve. The only way to guarantee time is to book an appointment. If interested in booking a consultation stop in the shop or call (717) 824-4271.

Do I need to bring ID?

For both tattoos and piercings we require a valid government issued photo ID. Passports, state issued, military, and drivers licenses are all acceptable.

I'm a minor, can I still get tattooed/pierced?

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and it must be the guardian on all documentation. The guardian must bring a valid government issued photo ID, the minor must also bring the same identification. If that is not available, a current school ID will work. You must also provide an original legal document (birth certificate, adoption papers or guardianship papers, etc.) to prove legal guardianship. We must have these documents in order to tattoo or pierce you.

We do not perform genital, nipple, microdermal, or oral piercings on minors.

How much does a tattoo cost?

Every tattoo is priced according to size, location, and detail. Feel free to stop in the shop or call (717) 824-4271 to set up a consultation.

How do I book an appointment?

All appointments require a $50 non-refundable deposit that is deducted off the total cost of your tattoo.

What happens to my deposit if I cancel?

Deposits are nonrefundable if you cancel, you can reschedule 24 hours in advance of your appointment. If you need to reschedule please call us and we will transfer your deposit to the new appointment date.

Can I bring in my own jewelry?

We will not pierce with jewelry that comes from outside the shop.

What kind of jewelry do you carry?

The majority of our jewelry is hypo-allergenic surgical steel. We do have a small supply of white/yellow/rose gold pieces. For stretched piercings we carry pyrex, stainless steel, and organic options. We also have catalogs from which we can order for you.

Do you provide aftercare?

For piercings we sell sea salt spray for $10 a bottle, as well as instructions on how to care for your piercing. For tattoos the artist will walk you through caring for your new tattoo.

What is your recommended tattoo aftercare?

  • Leave the bandage on until you get home.
  • If the bandage sticks to the tattoo while you're removing it, wet the area with lukewarm water and gently take the bandage off.
  • Once the bandage is removed, (wash hands first always) wash the tattooed area gently with mild, fragrance-free soap and warm water. Make sure to remove all excess ointment, blood, and ink. Gently pat dry with a paper towel. DO NOT SCRUB.
  • Wash your tattoo 3 times a day for 2 weeks.
  • For the first few days, after washing the tattoo, allow the skin to air dry and apply a very thin layer of ointment.
  • On the fourth day, stop using Aquaphor and begin applying unscented lotion until the tattoo settles into the skin.
  • Your tattoo will peel and/or flake. This is a normal part of the healing process. It will also be itchy while it heals, however, do not pick, itch or scratch tattooed area while it's healing!
  • NO SUN, SWIMMING, or SAUNAS for at least 2 weeks.
  • consult a healthcare professional at the first sign of infection
  • if you have any questions about healing or aftercare, please call us.
